Cobra Weave: Potential and Kinetic Energy

Knowing the difference between potential and kinetic energy is an important foundation for understanding energy and has a broad range of applications in elementary, middle, and high school science courses. This activity gives students the opportunity to engage in a hands on demonstration of the difference between potential and kinetic energy. While this lesson is specific to sixth grade science, it is a great foundation for teaching energy in other elementary grades. This lesson can also be used in high school courses like physics and chemistry.
